Student Volunteers

If you are interested in volunteering in one of the areas listed below, just click on the corresponding icon and you may email the youth staff.  We look forward to working with you!

Visual & Arts

Any and all students interested in severing in worship in a visual capacity. This team will consist of taking time prior to the needed event to produce visual settings that assist in the overall worship time. The art this team produces will be decided upon with the help of Chris, Ryan or Ginny to enhance a particular sermon series, a special event, a special art event, or the general ascetics of the youth building overall.

Requirements: The students must be

  • Active within the youth ministry (regular attenders in Wednesday night and/ or Sunday morning)

  • Have the ability to meet up at the church after school hours to meet and work on projects during the day

  • Be willing to possibly be on stage

  • Show a servants heart in assisting the leadership with worship

  • Be willing to handle constructive criticism

  • Be willing to meet deadlines

Prayer Team

This is an open team of students who are willing to pray for other students in the youth ministry.

Requirements: The students must be

  • Active within the youth ministry (regular attenders in both Wednesday and Sunday services)

  • Have a willingness and want to pray for students

  • Be willing to pray with students face to face

  • Assist worship leadership by offering prayers during services

  • Assisting in prayer nights on Wednesdays

  • Check Email, Facebook and Twitter daily to see any prayer requests presented on our pages

Decision Team

The decision team will assist leadership in decision making time held on Wednesdays. These people will be apparent leaders in the student ministry and willing to a part of changing lives in the students.

Requirements: The student must be

  • Active within the youth ministry (regular attenders in both Wednesday and Sunday services)

  • Willing to assist leadership in praying for students and helping them understand the decision to accept Christ.

  • An apparent leader in the student ministry

  • Able to articulate what it means to accept Christ and how to do so

  • Willing to come down to the front during Wednesday night services and other events where an altar call is offered

  • Help students fill out the necessary paperwork when a decision is made

  • Assist in giving altar calls and telling other publicly about accepting Christ

Drama

Any and all student’s interested in serving in worship in a dramatic capacity. This is not limited to but includes plays, monologues, spoken word presentations, video clips, audio clips, etc.

Requirements: The students must be

  • Active within the youth ministry (regular attenders in both Wednesday and Sunday services)

  • Have the ability to meet up to discuss and train for upcoming performances

  • Be willing to perform alone and with a group of others in front of students and adults

  • Show a servants heart in assisting the leadership with worship

  • Be willing to handle constructive criticism

  • Be willing to meet deadlines

  • Coming to a performance prepared and ready

First Contact

The first contact teams’ primary goal is to seek out students that might be new or seemingly detracted for the rest of the group and welcome them. This group will be one of the first people a new student meets when they enter into the youth building.

Requirements: The student must be

  • Active within the youth ministry (regular attenders in both Wednesday and Sunday services)

  • Willing to meet new people and invite them into a group of their friends

  • Show no partiality in meeting new people

  • Willing to take any new student to meet Chris, Ryan, or Ginny during the course of the service

  • Willing to help students fill out contact cards which will be handed to one of the youth staff

  • Willing to seek out students that are alone or by themselves and invite them into socializing with your group of friends

  • Assist with follow up after services to help the new students get even more connected

Sunday Morning Worship Team

  • This worship team will be made up of individuals who will be able and prepared to lead the students and leaders in worship every Sunday morning. It will consist of instrumentalist, percussionists, and vocalists. The music for Sunday morning will be a few songs geared to engage the students and lead them to a place where worship can happen freely and then prepare their hearts for the study which will take place following.

  • -Worship Vocalist, This will be made up of multiple individuals with the ability and heart to lead comfortably.

  • -Worship Band,  Any individuals who play instruments and have a desire to use that ability to lead God’s people.

  • -Worship Leader, A person with a heart to not just lead people in worship, but the heart to train and lead a team of individuals in shaping the Sunday morning worship team and creating an environment conducive to allowing people to worship in Spirit and in Truth.

  • (All positions will be subject to an audition or interview and under the direct authority of David Collins)
